We’re Hiring – Caretaker Vacancy at Astley CE Primary School

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Caretaker/Handy Person to join our friendly team and help keep our lovely rural school safe, clean, and welcoming for pupils, staff, and visitors.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a beautiful countryside setting with well-behaved, enthusiastic children and a supportive, close-knit staff team.

We’re looking for someone who:
• Takes pride in maintaining the school buildings and grounds to a high standard
• Has practical maintenance or DIY skills
• Is flexible, proactive, and able to work independently
• Can support and uphold our school’s Christian ethos and community values

Details:
• Part-time, permanent role (up to 10 hours per week – flexible)
• Salary: Scale 3 SCP 5–6 (£21,575 – £21,968 FTE, pro-rata)
• Preferred start date: 5th January 2026
• Location: Astley CE Primary School, near Stourport-on-Severn
